Emogene Brown

Surrounded by her loving family, Emogene Shamblin Brown , 79, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her home. Born August 17, 1931 in Clay County, WV she was the daughter of the late Van and Ossie Shamblin. For twenty-three years Emogene was employed by Charlie Jones and the late Herbert Jones, Jr. as Farm Manager for Lundale Farms in Oak Hill. Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Georgie Neff and Mamie Adkins. Survivors include husband, Doddy "Boots" Brown; one son, Clarence Shamblin, Sr. and wife, Ramona of Oak Hill; two grandchildren, Debra Johnson of Mount Hope and Clarence Shamblin, Jr. of Oak Hill and two great grandchildren, Katlin Shamblin and Shane Johnson, Jr. both of Mount Hope. Services will be on August 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. with Rev. Sam Smith officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore.
