Elsie Lucille Painter Wilkerson, 93, of Mount Hope, WV passed away Saturday, April 21 2018 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born December 19, 1924 in Maynor, WV she was the daughter of the late Ramie Edward, and Georgia Pearl Howard Painter.
Elsie was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Spurgeon Wilkerson; brother, Harry Lewis Painter; and two sisters, Juanita Bowyer, and Polly Painter.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Melvin (Audrey) Painter; four daughters, Sandra Vass, Patty (Rick) Davis, Cheryl Scarbro, and Tammy (Pete) Bowyer; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Janney, and Brenda Workman.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Gary Williams and Pastor Jim Bowyer. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for friends will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Bowers Hospice House, and Harper Mills for all their compassion.
