Elsie Mae Crumb Toney, 88, of Scarbro, WV died on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV following a short illness. Born January 25, 1917 at Carlisle, WV she was the daughter of the late Freeman Thomas and Susie Virginia Johnson Crumb. Mrs. Toney was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church, Oak Hill, WV, the Dorcas Circle of the church and the UMWA. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Toney; six brothers, Wilbur L., Andrew J. "Jack", William, Carl, Henry and Woodrow Crumb; four sisters, Elizabeth, Gloria, Margaret and Mary Hall and a grandson, John Cooper. Survivors include three daughters, Linda L. Cooper of Oak Hill, WV, Carrol Sue Ball Lively of Oak Hill, WV and Pat A. Everett of Oak Hill, WV; three sons, Alfred F. "Tojo" Toney of Oak Hill, David R. Toney of Carlisle, WV and Darrell W. Toney of Knightdale, NC; one sister, Nellie Dick of Scarbro, WV; one brother, Donald A. Crumb of Chicago, IL; one sister-in-law, Pauline Toney of Scarbro, WV; sixteen grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Oak Hill Apostolic Holiness Church on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Services will be on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Apostolic Holiness Church with Rev. Carlos Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV.
