Our beloved mother and sister, Elsie Frances Payne Painter went to be the Lord after a long illness on Tuesday, Dec 22, 2009 at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. Born March 18, 1951 at Dothan WV she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Mae Gilbert Payne and Roy Houston Payne, Sr. She loved her hobbies - from listening to ELVIS, reading favorite books, watching movies, to doing all types of puzzles. But she most of all loved her children, grandchildren and family. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and courageous son, Duane Daniel Painter on October 20, 2009 and her eldest sister, Billie Kaye Skaggs. She is survived by her life-long love Tommy Wayne Painter of Scarbro, her son, Karl Roseblock, his wife, Tina and their children, Christopher, Nikolas and Natalie of Greenville SC; her daughter, Michelle Roseblock Miller, her husband, Nathan and their sons, Daniel and James of Oak Hill, two sisters, Karen Payne Elder, her husband, Donald and son, Robbie and Robyn Payne Coleman and her son, Ryan; a brother Roy Payne, his wife, Brenda and their, son Samuel all of Oak Hill, and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Dec 24th at the Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill at 11:00AM with Rev. Tonya Shupe officiating.
