Elsie Mcvey

Elsie Clarice Wiley McVey, 91, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, April 12, 2004 at Charleston Hospital in Charleston, SC. Born October 03, 1912 at Lerona, WV she was the daughter of the late Otie Edgar and Viola Phillips Wiley. Mrs. McVey was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse for PMC and RGH and a Protestant by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos E. McVey and a brother, Paul Wiley. Survivors include sons, William McVey of Maple Fork, Curtis McVey of Daleville, AL, Charles McVey of Tacoma, WA, Otie J. McVey of Oak Hill; daughters, Donna Cullop and husband, Wiley, of Ghent, Brenda McVey of Charleston, SC, Jerri Copley and husband, James, of Oak Hill, Deloris Slaughter and husband, Bobby, of Oak Hill, Shirley "Tabby" Wroten and Mary Carte of Lanahan, SC. Also by 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 19, at 11:00 AM at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Gene Hall officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6 until 8 PM Sunday, April 18 at the funeral home.
