Elsie May Coleman

Elsie May Coleman, 85, of Mount Hope, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill following a long illness. Born December 24, 1922 at Cowpasture, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Maggie McCutcheon Vance. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church at Ramsey, WV In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William N. Coleman on October 23, 1994. Survivors include several nieces and nephews including a "special nephew", Bill Lane and his wife, Blanche and son, Jeremy of Fayetteville; sisters-in-law, Eva Harrah of Fayettevillle and Lucille Harrah of Virginia; a very special friend, Judy Cottle, of Rt. 2, Fayetteville; and a host of friends also survive. Services will be 2:30 PM Sunday, November 20, 2008 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Rev. Charles Bowe officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
