Elmer James Pennington

Elmer James Pennington, 68, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born January 6, 1955 in Pax, WV he was the son of the late Delbert and Dixie Allen Pennington.

Elmer worked as a belt man replacing belts in the coal mines. In his leisure time he enjoyed, Hunting, Fishing, and especially spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by sister, Pam Settle.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his wife of 33 years Rose Settle Pennington; 2 daughters, Angela Ruff and Rose Shrader; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Ramona Shamblin; brother, Oscar Pennington; and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes Elmer will be cremated and no services at this time.
