Elizabeth Irene Smoot

Elizabeth Irene Smoot,81,of Brooksville,Florida, died Friday, September 23, 2005 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Brooksville. Born May 27, 1924 at Kilsyth, WV she was a daughter of the late Carl and Florence Miller Pruitt. Mrs. Smoot resided in Ashland, KY for many years before moving to Brooksville in 1996. She was a long time member of the First Church of Nazarene of Ashland, Kentucky and attended the Brooksville Wesleyan Church, Brooksville, Florida She was a homemaker. Her husband, Harold R. Smoot and brothers, James, Harold, Clarence and Donald Pruitt preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Harold Edward Smoot and wife, Linda of Bloomington, Indiana; daughter, Francine Ward of Brooksville, Florida; two sisters, Betty Cox of Hodgenville, Kentucky; Margaret Nottingham of Mount Hope; one brother, Larry Pruitt and wife, Joy of Harper; two grandsons, Anthony Smoot and wife, Pam and Paul Smoot; a great granddaughter, Breanna Smoot all of Bloomington, Indiana. Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, WV. Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
