Elizabeth Ann "Sis" Bozo Jarosz

Elizabeth "Sis" Ann Bozo Jarosz , 91, of Scarbro WV died on Friday, March 08, 2013 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born October 31, 1921 in Stonage, VA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Knausz Bozo, Sr. Her childhood was spent in Beauty, KY and in 1935 the family moved to Scarbro. Sis was a 1940 graduate of Oak Hill High School. She was an employee of the Oak Hill Water Company, in 1969 received her LPN from the Raleigh County Vo-Tech and retired from Plateau Medical Center after 25 years of service. An accomplished seamstress, her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, as well as other crafts. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking and spending time with family. Sis was a long-time member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was an active member of the Altar Society. Before her health declined, Sis was a member of the Plateau District Quilters, the WV LPN Association, and the OHHS/CHS Alumni Association and a volunteer for Red Cross bloodmobiles, etc. Sis was married to Leon B. Jarosz, Sr. on January 29, 1944 at Scarbro. He preceded her in death as did her dear friend, James R. "Bob" Craver; four sisters, Rosalie Blanar, Margaret Dixon, Julia Bozo and Mary Bozo; and three brothers, Joseph, Jr., Elic, Sr. and her twin, Daniel. Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Graves and husband, A. Leonard, III of Sugar Grove and two sons Leon, Jr. and wife, JoAnn of Scarbro and Michael, Sr. and wife, Debra all of Scarbro Also surviving are four grandsons, Michael, Jr. of Scarbro and children, Joseph and Catherine; Stephen and wife, Amy of Scarbro and children, Catilyn and Elizabeth “Sis” Ann; Aaron Graves and wife, Evelyn of Maidsville and children, Skylar, Robbie and Presley; and Andrew Graves of Westover, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM with Rosary at 7:30 PM.
