Elizabeth Scarbrough

Elizabeth Mae Scarbrough, 61, of Oak Hill, WV passed away Friday, August 1, at her home. Born January 26, 1947 at Wriston, WV she was the daughter of the late Jess and Beatrice Toney Walton. She was a retired cashier for Mountaineer Mart and a member of the Mountain View Church of God, Hilltop. Survivors include her husband, John Scarbrough, Sr. of Oak Hill; a son, John Scarbrough, Jr. of Beckley; two daughter, Connie Everett of Oak Hill and Leslie Scarbrough Tweedie of Fayetteville; four brothers, Carl (Jim) Walton of Hico, George Frank Toney of Middletown, Delaware, Rubin Walton of Phelps, New York and Ellis Walton of Summerlee; two sisters, Nancy Dougan of Oak Hill and Katherine Pierce of Phelps, New York; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Services will be 12 Noon Monday, August 4, at her home in Oak Hill, with Rev. Dorothy Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Bibb Cemetery, Rt. 1, Fayetteville. Friends may call from 5 until 8 PM Sunday evening, August 3, at her home. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
