Edwina Alderman

Edwina J. Underwood Alderman,64, of North Sand Branch Road died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at home after a long illness. She was born March 22, 1939 at Price Hill, WV a daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude Lay Underwood. She was retired from White Chrysler-Dodge in Oak Hill, WV. She attended the Free Will Baptist Church at Cool Ridge, WV. and graduated as salutatorian in 1957 at Mount Hope High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Alderman, and a sister, Vivian Underwood. Survivors include her brother, Gene Underwood of Bradley; three sisters, Christine Wooldridge of Bradley, Geraldine Mitchell of Maple Fork, and Shirley Ewing of Pax; a special niece, Lisa Doyle of Charlotte, NC; a special nephew, Gary Ewing of Lincolnton, NC; two special great nieces, Kala Doyle of Charlotte, NC and McKenzie Ewing of Lincolnton, NC. Services will be Tuesday, March 23 at 2:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope with Rev. Jim Mitchell and Rev. Randall Brickey officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
