Edward Toney

Edward H. Toney, 81,of Beckwith, WV died on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitaion Center in Martinsville, VA following a short illness. Born January 22, 1922 at Hico, WV he was the son of the late Joe and Belle Bennett Toney. He was a retired Track repairman for Cannelton Coal and Ames Mining Company. Mr. Toney was a member of the UMWA District 17, Local 8843. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene Treadway Toney. Survivors include a niece, Georgia Blankenship and husband, Paul, of Kure Beach, NC Stepbrothers: Wesley Elkins of Virginia Beach, VA Buster Elkins of North Carolina and by many other loving family members There will be no visitation. Private graveside rites will be at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville, WV. Burial will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville WV.
