Edward Donald Sumner

Edward Donald Sumner, 88, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at Bowers Hospice House with his family by his side on Tuesday January 31, 2023. Born in Palatka, Florida, he was the son of the late Crockett Cecil Sumner and Viola Tyler Sumner.
Edward enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bingo, and being outdoors. Ed has always been such a strong man that's always worked with his hands, working in construction most his life.
In addition to his parents he is preceded by sons; Chris Goodwin and Ricky Goodwin.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Nora Jean Sumner, daughter Nancy Tygrett (Paul), grandchildren; Paige Borsman, Paul Tygrett, Carmen Malicoate, Ashley Warrick, Loren Tygrett, Angel Boehning, Chris Goodwin Jr., and 15 great grandkids.
In keeping with his wishes Edward will be cremated.
