Gene Edward Nicholas

Surrounded by his family, our loving husband, father and grandfather, Gene Edward Nicholas , 74, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Hilltop Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hilltop, WV. Born September 02, 1938 at Kilsyth, WV he was the son of the late Alfred William and Lorena Craddock Nicholas. Gene loved hunting and fishing and had an interest in trains. Survivors include wife, Carolyn Yvonne Vass Nicholas, one daughter, Alisa Nicholas of Oak Hill and two sisters, Pearl Burgess of Oak Hill and Norma Tyler of Sandston, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Christina Ayers, Tamara Chittum and husband, Joel, Erica Ayers and Bryan Bryant. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Bill McClung officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
