Edward L. Kidd

Edward L. Kidd, 78, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born December 9, 1929 at Page, WV he was the son of the late Thomas and Savilla Bocook Kidd. He was retired from General Motors. Mr. Kidd was a member of the Gentry Baptist Church, Sanger and the United Auto Workers. The Kidd family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Hospice, Dr. Ryan Newell and brothers-in-law, James Wolfe and Bill Yarber. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty Yarber Kidd; one daughter, Jeannie Diana Adkins and husband, Jonathan of Oak Hill; one brother, Thomas Kidd of Oak Hill; one sister, Betty Seaman of South Lyons, MI; four grandchildren, Angela Bonds and husband, Charlie of Daniels, Shannon Samantha Angel and boyfriend, Chuck Green of Oak Hill, Jonathan D. Adkins, Jr. and girlfriend, Kelli of Oak Hill and PFC Joshua Adkins of Oak Hill and five great grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Caiden, Logan and Alexis. Services will be on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Bill Drennen officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens., Oak Hill WV. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
