Edna May Cole Silvers, 99, of Bradley, WV died on Thursday, October 14, 2004 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born May 04, 1905 at Hawks Nest, WV she was the daughter of the late Granville W. and Belle Boles Cole. Mrs. Silvers was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, Calloway Heights, WV. May was a retired postmistress at Nuttalburg, WV and was postal clerk at Bradley for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Waldo Silvers and her sister, Pearl Cole Frye. Edna was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include nephews, William (Billy) M. Frye of Vineland, NJ and Donald Frye of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also survived her good friends and caregivers, Betty L. Cosby, Sharon and Edsel Armentrout, Patty Fedukovich, Gay Murrary, Judy Helton and Nancy Murray as well as her beloved pastor, William E. "Bill" Parker. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Saturday, October 16, 2004, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Services will be on Saturday, October 16, 2004, at 11:00 am at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. William L. " Bill" Parker officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity WV. Pallbearers will be Bob Harrah, Raymond Harrah, Philip Fedukovich, Harold Radford, Bruce Wooldridge and Eddie Marshall with Edsel Armentrout and Craig Waddell as honorary pallbearers.
