Edna Josephine Romage Sexton

Edna Josephine Romage Sexton, age 87, of Oak Hill, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill after a short illness.

Born September 21, 1927 at Layland, WV, she was the daughter of Martin and Willie Claxton Romage.

Edna was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estel M. Sexton, by a son Charles R. Sexton, by a grandson, Mark Sexton; by brothers, Bobby Romage, Eugene Romage, by sisters, Ruby Tucker and Gladys McCance.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Estel “Etchie” Sexton and wife Treatha of Oak Hill, her two daughters, Dorothy Ray and her husband Roger of Port Charlotte, FL, Sharon Blevins and her husband Ralph of Beckley and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Sexton of Oak Hill; two brothers, Ralph Romage of Layland, Roger Romage of Beckley; three sisters, Ruth Suzza of Oak Hill, Polly Fox of Virginia and Patty Tankersley of Columbus, OH.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Rudell Bloomfield officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park
Mausoleum, Oak Hill.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until the service hour of 1:00 PM.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
