Edith White Sumner Phelps

Sallie Edith White Sumner Phelps , 82, of Bandera, TX went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in Bandera, TX. Born December 11, 1929 at LaFollette, TN she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Ellon Sharp White. Mrs. Phelps was a homemaker and a member of the Beckwith Apostolic Holiness Church before moving to Texas. She was preceded in death by her sisters Shirley Jane White and Fern White Turner, nephews, John and Jay Wheeler and by a niece Sandra Wheeler.. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Leonard Phelps, sons, Gene Sumner of Montgomery, TX and Gary Sumner of Bandera, TX, sisters, Wanda Lilly of Rupert and Imogene Wills of Grove City, OH, and brothers Ronnie White of Webster Springs and Ralph White of Oak Hill. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many friends. Graveside rites and committal services will be on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at Bibb Cemetery in Gatewood with Rev.
