Edith Burdette

Mrs. Edith Irene Jarrett Burdette, 87, of Edmond, WV died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born December 24, 1918, at Greenview, Boone Co., WV, a daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln Jarrett and Clara Ann Kirk Jarrett. Mrs. Burdette was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, Fred L. Burdette and one grandson, Todd Burdette. Survivors include her husband, Fred Ferris Burdette; one son, Roy Martin Burdette of Gauley Bridge; two daughters, Gloria Treadway of Edmond and Shirley Ann Maddy of Princeton; one brother, Rev. Anderson Jarrett of Waverly, TN; one sister, Reba Hodge of Belva; 10 grandchildren. Service will be 1 PM Tuesday at Montgomery Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Anderson Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
