Edgar Wayne Wriston , 71, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born February 12, 1945 at Mossy, WV he was the son of the late Layton and Clara Evelyn Aliff Wriston.
He was a retired coal miner for Consol Energy.
Mr. Wriston was a member of the Dothan Missionary Baptist Church and a US Army veteran.
Survivors include son, James Wriston of Scarbro; daughters, Julie (Rodney) Wheeler of Oak Hill and Kelli of Scarbro; two brothers, Carlos Wriston of Scarbro and David Wriston of Scarbro; sisters, Naomi (Bryant) Wriston of Scarbro and Evelyn (Brenton) Davis of Scarbro; and four grandchildren, Ryan Wheeler, Brad Wheeler, Braxton Wriston and Hayden Wriston.
Graveside rites and committal services will be on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation .
