Edgar Howard Graff, Jr., 84, of Ocala, FL formerly of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009. Born November 20, 1924 in Scarbro, WV he was a son of the late Helen Sanger Graff and Edgar H. Graff, Sr. He was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and so enjoyed attending the events of the OHH/CHS Alumni Association. Mr. Graff was a produce broker, known as “Watermelon Man”. He was a member and was head usher at Druid Hills United Methodist Church, member of Senior Services, Meals On Wheels, Mentoring Program, past president of Ocala Men’s Golf Association, involved in the Camp Tournament, Doug Oswald and the Saturday Morning Men’s Golf Group that he organized. He was in unofficio Mayor of Fisher Park. Edgar served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps as a nose gunner in a B-24 in the Pacific Campaign. He is survived by his wife, Elmo Jeanette Mullins Graff, his son, Michael H. Graff and wife Mary, his daughter, Susie O’Neill and husband, Tim all of Ocala, his daughter, Jan Bullock and husband, Paul of Gainesville and his son Joe Graff and wife, Cindy of Ocala. His grandchildren, Heather, Heath, Tucker, Nichole, Jeanette, Adam and Derek and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Trista, Lucas and Hunter, also survive him. Edgar also leaves behind many relatives, among them the Herbert Sanger family, the Lace Sanger family and many friends too numerous to mention. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Druid Hills United Methodist Church, 1712 S. E. Lake Weir Road, Ocala, Florida 34471. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
