Edgar "Eddie" Davis

Edgar Burton "Eddie" Davis, 88, of Oak Hill, WV died on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born October 30, 1918 at Raleigh County, WV he was the son of the late George E. and Mary Hill Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Oak Hill, WV. He served as a Staff Stg. in the US Army during World War II. The family wishes to extend a special thanks for the doctors and nurses at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley for the care they gave Eddie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Christian Davis. Survivors include one son, Charles "Buddy" Davis and wife, Donna of South Orange, NJ; brother, George E. Davis, Jr. and wife, Freida of Dublin, VA; two sisters, Wanda Martin of Beckley, WV and Opal Vargo of Katy, TX; two grandsons, Dr. Thomas Davis and wife, Nim and Todd Davis and wife, Jennifer; two great grandchildren, Victoria Davis and Beau Davis and two step grandchildren, Angus Davis and Duncan Davis. Memorial service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 21, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Jim Musgrave officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
