Earl Vannatter

Rev. Earl B. Vannatter, 75, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA following a short illness. Born December 06, 1928 at Fayetteville, WV he was the son of the late Jess Andrew Vannatter, Sr. and Opal Ear Hughes Vannatter Rackley. He was a retired Minister and Electrician. Mr. Vannatter was a member of the Oak Hill Gospel Tabernacle where he was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent and choir member. He graduated from computer school and served in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jess Vannatter, Jr.. Survivors include his wife, Peggy L. Bloxton Vannatter; daughters, Barbara (Robert) Kees of Cross Lanes, Shelia (Steve) Robertson of Hurricane, Sherry (Dennis) Miller of Knotts Island, NC; sons, David Vannatter of Oak Hill and Scott (Donna) Vannatter of Conroe, TX; sister, Helen (Lawrence) Whitlock of Oak Hill; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, April 16, 2004, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Oak Hill Gospel Tabernacle, 301 Byrnside Street, Oak Hill with Rev. Allen Gallimore, Rev. Robert Isaac & Rev. Ben Peyton officiating. Burial will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville WV.
