Duane Daniel Painter, 32, of Scarbro, WV went with Jesus to dwell in the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born August 09, 1977 at Oak Hill, WV he was the beloved son of the Tommy Wayne Painter of Scarbro and Elsie Frances Payne Painter of Oak Hill. Duane was 1995 graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended Concord University where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. A ten year cancer survivor, he lived his life with a courage and grace that touched everyone around him. He loved baseball both as a player and fan. He was the #1 Red Sox fan. He loved and treasured his friends and family. The entire Painter family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Bowers Hospice House and pray for blessings on the all the angels there. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Quincy and Edna Painter and an uncle, Marvin Painter. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are a sister, Michelle Miller, her husband, Nathan and their son, Daniel all of Oak Hill; brother, Karl Roseblock, his wife, Tina, their sons, Christopher and Nicholas and daughter, Natalile all of Greenville, SC; his beloved aunt, Doris Collins, her husband, Tom and their daughter, Cindy of Parkersburg; uncle, Danny Painter, his wife, Sherry and their children, Kevin and Jennifer and son, Andrew all of Oak Hill; aunt, Linda Fazio and son, Mark Painter of Ohio as well as many friends and Chino. Services will be on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Ralph Shupe officiating Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Family member and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
