Doris O. Miller

Doris Olive Brown Miller , 83, of Oak Hill, WV died on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 at her home . Born March 31, 1927 at Rainelle, WV she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. "Sam" and Lura Ann Nutter Brown. Doris worked for Leggett/Belk as the ladieswear department manager, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Oak Hill Gospel Tabernacle, 35 year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and for over 50 years was a member of Lewisburg Chapter No. 108 O.E.S. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Lloyd Miller and a son, Dale Gregory Miller. Survivors include two sons David Miller of Milton and Dennis Miller and wife, Sherry of Oak Hill and one brother, Don Brown of Florida. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Gail Thompson of Milton, Wendy Miller of Raleigh, NC, Shawn Miller of Tega Cay, SC and Derick Miller of Fort Mills, SC and three great grandchildren, Amber Henry, Aiden Thompson and Emmy Miller. Services will be on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. with Rev. Allen Gallimore and Rev. Eric Smith officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
