Doran Jefferson Stover

Doran Jefferson Stover, 79, of Workman's Creek, WV died on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Born August 13, 1929 at Clear Creek, WV he was the son of the late Clina and Ina Toney Stover. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Stover served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne Division and also the 6th Infantry Regiment. He was stationed in Berlin, Germany. He enjoyed gardening and sharing stories with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, a sister, Nannie Terry and five brothers, Maben, Rondie, Ray, Jackie and Quincy preceded him in death. He is survived by a brother, Warren Stover and wife, Gladys; sisters-in-law, Elvis Stover, Josie Stover and Patricia Stover; many nieces and nephews and friends. Services will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Workman's Creek Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial will be at Workman’s Creek Cemetery at Workman’s Creek. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
