Donald Gene Peters

Donald Gene Peters, age 71, of Dothan, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born September 8, 1940, at Dothan, WV, he was the son of the Donald Earl and Alma Lois DeLung Peters. Mr. Peters retired from the WV Turnpike as a Foreman and served his country with the US Army. He is survived by his wife Betty Jane Thomas Peters of Dothan, his only daughter, Karen Elmore and her husband Jeff of Oak Hill and by three grandchildren, Benjamin Elmore, Samuel Elmore and Morgan Elmore. He is also survived by two sisters, Connie Scafide of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Winnie Sue Ballengee of Mabscott, WV. Funeral services will be held at 2 :00 P.M. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill, with Rev. Darrell Fuller officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill, WV.
