Dino S. Garten

Dino Shawndale Garten, 36, of Page, formerly of Lester, W.Va., died on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at his home. Born June 28, 1972, at Beckley, W.Va., he was the son of Margaret L. Hundley Dolin and her husband, Junior Ray, of Page, W.Va., and Bewey MacArthur Garten, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Lester, W.Va. He was a construction laborer. Dino was raised in Lester and attended Liberty High School. He worked quite a bit in Indiana, then moved back to West Virginia, currently residing in Page. His maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Clarence Hundley; paternal grandparents, Marie and Bewey Garten; and a sister, Novella Garten, preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his two sisters, Loretta Cole and husband, Troy, of Fairdale and Robin Morgan and husband, Darrell, of Pennsylvania; a brother, Timothy Garten of Sturgis, Mich.; a special aunt and uncle with whom he lived with while in Indiana, Sue and Johnny Garten; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Dino, we will always love and miss you. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Randy McGuire officiating. Burial will be at Bibb Cemetery, Gatewood, W.Va. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Junior Dolin, Samuel Dolin, Israel Gilkey, Patrick Dolin, Dale Miller, and Tom Keith will serve as pallbearers.
