Derrike Samuel Miller

Six day old Derrike Samuel Miller much loved infant son of Samuel Rueben and Connie J. Backus Miller of Oak Hill, WV went to be with God on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at Magee Women's and Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born August 18, 2004 in Pittsburgh, PA. Other survivors include his brother, Hunter Thompson Miller; maternal grandparents, Shelvey "Red" and Alice Backus and paternal James and Janet Miller all of Oak Hill; great grandparents, Mark and Frances Miller and Mildred Backus of Oak Hill; aunts and uncles, David and Kathy Lauer of Morgantown; Candice Miller of San Francisco; Justin and Lesley Vargo of Oak Hill and by cousins, Garrett and Jayna Vargo of Oak Hill and Tabitha, Kaitlin and Johnathan Lauer of Morgantown. There will be no visitation. Graveside rites and committal will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill, WV 11:00 am Saturday, August 28, 2004, with Minister Andy Burns of the Oak Hill Church of Christ officiating. Burial at Gethsemane will follow. Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service and are encouraged to keep the family in their thoughts and prayers.
