Denver Stewart

Denver R. Stewart, 62, of Racine, WI went to join his parents, the late Albert and Gladys Stewart on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born on April 29, 1951 in Indore, West Virginia. He moved to Racine, WI in 1969 and met his wife, Diana (VanBerg) and were married on March 10, 1973. Denver worked at Sheridan Air Rifle Company for more than twenty-five years. He was preceded in death by brother, Junior Stewart; and sisters, Kathleen Tanner, Evelyn Jefferies and Judy Hollman; and his father-in-law, Andy VanBerg. Denver was a good husband and a wonderful dad to his five children, Nicole Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Amanda (Jose) Stewart, Jason Stewart and Becky (Tim) Stewart; three granddaughters, Kira, Liavannah and Mathilda Fulce all of Racine; sisters and brothers, Emma Lou Lanham, Anna Mae Fugate, Alberta (Gary) Daniels all of W. Va., Daphene (Everett) Holcomb, Betty (John) Matek, both of Ohio, and Douglas Stewart of WI. Denver is further survived by his mother-in-law, Betty VanBerg; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Cathy Harcus, Lucille Stewart and Tim (Carla) VanBerg; and he was fond of his many nieces, nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Denver will be greatly missed by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
