Delys Janice Ayers Dempsey

Delys Janice Ayers Dempsey, age 79, of Youngstown, OH, formerly of Harvey, WV died on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana, OH. Born June 7, 1934 at Harvey, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ermal C. and Willia A. Johnson Ayers. Delys was a homemaker, member of the Boardman United Methodist Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #213. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Dempsey in 1987, by a son, Robert Lee Dempsey, Jr in 1997 and by four brothers, Jimmy, Fred, George and Ercil Ayers. Surviving are her two daughters, Diane Kohler of Youngstown, OH, Holli Cornelli of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Amanda Jones of Cleveland, OH, Robert Lee Dempsey, III of Cleveland, OH, Chad Kulikowsky of Boardman, OH, Britni Kulikowsky of Mineral Park, OH, Jasmin Kulikowsky of Boardman, OH, Alethia and Peighton Cornelli both of Cleveland, OH and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Patricia Yoney of Boardman, OH, Erma Caten of Mandiville, LA; and one brother, Tom Ayers of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Harvey United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
