Delphia Evans

Verna Delphia Coleman Evans,93,of Rt. 1 Scarbro died Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Heartland of Charleston, Charleston, WV. She was born September 15, 1912 at Dothan, WV a daughter of the late Everette S. and Naomi S. Payne Coleman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church at East Kingston. Her husband, Desota Evans, two daughters, Ann Dembereckyj and Jewel Faye Jarvis; and three step children, Gloria Parker, Margaret Newbanks and Gary Evans preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Lee Blake of Springfield, MO; Shirley G. Gamble and Verna Noel Clark of Ridgedale, MO; Brenda Joyce Mrozek of Braselton, GA; three sisters, Bonnie Davis of Dothan; Lessie Wriston and Dana Wriston of Fayetteville; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2005, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill, WV with Rev. Arolette Stover officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service.
