Della Irene Tankersley

Della Irene Tankersley, 84, of Hilltop, WV passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Sun, following a long illness. Born January 22, 1922 at Odd, WV she was the daughter of the late Nelt and Effie Bolen. Mrs. Tankersley was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Edward Tankersley. Survivors include her son, David Tankersley, Jr. and wife, Loretta of Cleveland, OH; daughter, Peggy Burnett and husband, Robert of Hilltop; a brother, Earl Bolen and wife, Joyce of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Tavie Trent and husband, Edmund of Lester; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Service will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 24, at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill,WV with Rev. Jessie Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday. Grandchildren and friends will serve as pallbearers.
