Delia "Dee" R. Craddock Bowyer

Delia (Dee) Rose Craddock Bowyer, of Bradley, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was the third daughter of Emmett and Gladness Gunnoe Craddock. Born at Long Branch in Fayette county on May 12, 1933 and married John Herbert Bowyer on August 19, 1950. She was the mother of three children; Wayne Bowyer, Darlene Bowyer Duncan and Johnnie Bowyer. She was a retired secretary from Heartland of Beckley and was a member of the Maynor Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Darlene Bowyer Duncan, two sisters, Emma Rae Craddock and Jean Raines, and an aunt, Geraldine Harless whom her parents raised as a sister.. Those who survive her are, John Herbert Bowyer, her husband of 60 years; Two sons, Wayne Bowyer and wife Sandy of Maryland and Johnnie Bowyer and companion T.J. Of Bradley, WV. Three grandchildren, Kimberly Bowyer McCormack of VA, Sammy Duncan, Jr. and wife Stacy of Bradley, WV, Jimmy Duncan of Bradley, WV Two great-grandchildren, Christopher Cook of VA and Kendall Duncan of Bradley, WV. Two sisters, Mary Jo Janney of Delaware and Loretta Komisar and husband Jim of VA. Also many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and two very special cousins, Launia Blackburn and Anna Daniels. Graveside rites were held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, with Rev. Jim Bowyer officiating.
