Delerene Collins

Delerene Collins, 59, of Clear Fork Road, Beckley, WV died on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at her home. Born July 30, 1948 at Workman's Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Emmett F. and Gracie E. Summers Collins. Delerene was employed by Winn-Dixie in Alabama as a cashier. She was a Protestant by faith. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Tracy M. Collins, Clarence Collins and Lonny Gene Collins and one sister, Gertrude "Gertie" Beverly. Survivors include one son, Eric Jones and wife, Vince of Sylacauga, Ala., one daughter, Debbie Evans and special friend, Tiffanie Griffith of Surveyor, WV; one brother, Jeffery W. Collins of Fayetteville, WV and three sisters, Maxie Atha of Dorothy, WV, Flossie Daniels of Dalton, OH and Wanda Stallings of Mansfield, OH. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Collins of Clear Fork and four grandchildren, Mindy Jones, Karen Jones and Mary Ann Jones all of Sylacauga, Ala. and Nicholas Dobbs of Surveyor, WV. Services will be on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church in Workman's Creek with Rev. Jerry Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at Workman's Creek Cemetery, Workman's Creek. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
