Delbert L. Patton

Delbert L. Patton , 74, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, May 07, 2012 at his home. Born August 28, 1937 at Mt. Lookout, WV he was the son of the late Eugene Patton and Rosa Fox Patton Mynhier. Retired from the WV Department of Highways in Oak Hill, Delbert was former owner of Patton's Exxon and Corner Sunoco. He was currently employed for C. Adam Toney Discount Tires in Oak Hill. Mr. Patton was a member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. He was a US Army veteran. His wife, Doris Leah Martin Patton preceded him in death on June 8, 1996. He was also preceded by a son, Billy Thomas and a son-in-law, Clifford Parker. Survivors include his children, Debra Parker of Oak Hill, Greg Thomas and wife, Barbara of Shady Spring and Devonna Scarbro and husband, Jerry of Beckley, daughter-in-law, Shirley Thomas, brother, David Patton and wife, Inez of Virginia and two sisters, Macy Older and husband, Bill of Charleston and Linda Brown of Charleston. He is also survived by grandchildren, Craig Thomas, Christa Thomas, Justin Parker and wife, Heather, Jon Parker, Kent Scarbro, Jared Scarbro, Leah Scarbro, Chasity Thomas, Zach Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Stephen Thomas, Nikolas Thomas and Angelique Thomas, great grandchildren, Brent Lilly, Carter Parker, Keilee Barb, Mason Waddel, Madilynn Scarbro and Austin Scarbro and his pet, Autumn. Funeral services will be on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush and Pastor David Edwards officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
