Delbert W. Cobb, Jr.

Delbert Wilson Cobb , Jr. 78, of Kincaid, WV passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at his home. Born February 06, 1932 at Buffalo, WV he was the son of the late Delbert G. Cobb, Sr. and Bertha Violet Higginbotham Cobb. Junior retired from Valley Camp Coal Company (1989) and Appalachian Mining (1995). The Cobb family would like to extend a special thank you to Plateau Medical staff and to Dr. Serafino Maducdoc and staff for the excellent care and compassion offered during his illness. His brother, Buddy J. Cobb preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy "Dot" Stonestreet Cobb and his children, Christine Cobb Whittaker and husband, Terry of Radford, VA, Karen Cobb Romine and husband, Jeff of Kincaid and Shannon Dale Cobb of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stephanie L. Frazier, Jessica W. Fenton and husband, Wes, Scott Romine, Emily R. Whittaker and Seth B. Cobb, great grandson, Andrew S. Romine and nephews, Timothy G. Cobb and Mark A. Cobb. Services will be on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 Pm to 2:00 PM Scotty Stonestreet, John Robert Stonestreet, Kris Rader, Terry Whittaker, Wes Fenten and Jeff Romine will serve as pallbearers.
