Deanna Sue Akers Kirk , 68, of Oak Hill, WV died on Sunday, May 09, 2010 in Princeton, WV. Born October 13, 1941 at Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of Arthur A. Akers, Sr. and his wife, Lina M. Akers of Rainelle, WV and Margie V. Fisher Jordan and her husband, Charles L. Jordan of Fredericksburg, VA. Deanna was a 1959 graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill and retired from Plateau Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Richard Kirk. Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly K. Newberger of Lookout; a son, Christopher S. Kirk of Tehachapi, CA; brother, Arthur A. Akers, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters, Linda A. Morris of Carefree, AZ and Jane C. Johnson of Spotsylvania, VA; half-brother, Jeffrey A. Akers of Bruceton Mills; half-sister, Joan C. Hypes of Rainelle and a granddaughter, Megan V. Kirk of Lookout. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill.
