David Ray Smith

Our beloved husband, father, grandad and great grandad David Ray Smith, age 76, of Oak Hill, WV left this world on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by family after a long illness. David was a quiet man who loved his family beyond measure.

Born October 31, 1944 in Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Ray and Marjorie Valentine Smith.

Those left to treasure his memory include his wife Kaye Payne Smith; daughter, Redawna and husband Scott; son, Tracy Smith; sister, Joan Stowers and husband, Larry; grandsons Danny Saye and wife, Tabitha, Andrew Smith and wife, Megan, Austin Harler, and Jackson Smith; granddaughters, Kayleigh Folk and husband, Bryon, and Kelsea Harler; five great grandchildren, Leyton, Smith, Zaiden Smith, Axel Smith, Brewer Saye and Adilyn Saye along with multiple nieces and nephews

Funeral services were held on at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Kenny Hayes officiating Burial followed at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
