David Rose

David Rose, 71, of Minden passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston with his loving family by his side.

Born October 9, 1953, in Pikeville, KY he was the son of the late Billy Joe Rose and Peggy Lester.

David graduated with a bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from the College of West Virginia in 1996. He was in the National Honor Society and part of the Who's who of West Virginia Colleges. In his leisure he enjoyed golfing, shooting guns, shooting pool, playing cards, fishing, but most of all he was a passionate hunter who loved being in the outdoors, and his greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family who he cherished and loved.  

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by Verne Lester (who was like a father to him); and sister, Rhonda Lewis

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife, Patrica Rose; son, Shaun Rose; sister, Neva Martin (Mike); brother, Dwayne Rose (Evelyn); special niece, Ashley Martin- Proskin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with David's wishes he will be cremated.
