Pastor David Ellis Moter III, 76, of Beckley, WV died on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at his home following a long illness. Born February 21, 1930 at Fayette County, WV he was the son of the late Dewey McKinley Moter, Sr. and Bertha Gladys Richards Moter. David retired in 2000 from the business he started in 1958, Dave's Radiator Shop in Oak Hill. Active in church prior to becoming a minister, he was the volunteer pastor of the Pine Lodge Chapel in Beckley for 34 years and associated with the Virginia Street Baptist Church in Oak Hill. A son, David Ellis Moter, IV twin brother of Dianna, two brothers, Dewey Moter, Jr. and Bill Reece, Sr. and one sister, Dorothy Tanner preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Juanita E. Moter; three daughters, Dianna Lilly and husband, Larry, Sr., of Bristol, VA, Sandra E. Wade and husband, Jerry, and Tammy Moter all of Oak Hill, WV; two sisters, Bertha Sturgill of Dothan, Ala and Delores Wright of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren, Larry, Jr., Katrina, Tammy, Nita, Lindsay and twins Steven and Stacey;and five great grandchildren, Donald, Jr., Brianna, Dauminique, Brandon and Colton. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Friday, March 31, 2006, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Services will be on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Randy Smithson and Rev. George Taylor officiating. Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity WV. Pallbearers will be Steven Fuches, Henry Johnson, Paul Smithson, Larry Lilly, Jr., Roy Smith and Rick Childers.
