David Lee Loudermilk

June 2, 1957 — March 29, 2019

David Lee Loudermilk, 61, of Beckley, was reunited with his parents on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the home of his sister whom he had resided with since the death of his parents.

Born June 2, 1957 in Charleston, he was the son of the late Robert L. And Marie (Vest) Loudermilk.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maude and Walter Vest; his paternal grandparents, Stella and Ray Loudermilk; and also numerous aunts and uncles.

David was a 1976 Graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, a faithful and devoted member of the United Methodist Temple, where he served as Sunday School offering secretary for many years, and a member of United Methodist Men. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on WVU Mountaineers, The Cincinnati Reds, and his alma mater WWHS Flying Eagles and loved to attend games whenever possible.

He was as long time employee of Pizza Hut having worked at the Beaver and Harper Road locations. His coworkers he considered as part of his family.

When we pause to remember and celebrate the life of David, let us always remember him as a quiet, unassuming (because he saw the good in all of God’s creations) and his total devotion to anything he set out to do he gave it his all.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Carol Wood of Beckley and Susan Perry and her husband, Rob of Beaver; three nephews, Jonathan D. Wood of Beckley, Robby K. Perry, and Ray W. Perry of Beckley; two nieces, Brianna L. Wood Cook and her husband, Alvin and their daughter, Kinsleigh Marie of Surveyor and Morgan M. Perry of Beaver; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his church family especially the members of the United Methodist Men.

Services will be 12 Noon, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the United Methodist Temple with Pastor Steve Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the United Methodist Temple and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Robby Perry, Ray Perry, Greg Pack, Dan Thacker, David Grant, and Greg Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Perry, Alvin L. Cook, Alvin J. Cook, Greg Mounts, and Terry Lilly.
