David T. Lindsay

David Tillman Lindsay, 68, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, April 08, 2009 at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV. Born July 18, 1940 at Kincaid, WV he was the son of the late James Harry and Ethel May Smith Lindsay. David was a coal miner in his younger years. He moved to Florida in the early 90's to be closer to his children and grandchildren. In the summer of 2005 he moved back to the mountains of West Virginia where he knew the remainder of his life would be spent breathing the fresh mountain air and enjoying the outdoors. He is survived by his four children, Dave Douglas Lindsay and wife, Donna of Palm Bay, FL, Robert Lindsay and wife, Joanne of Dothan, Alabama, Deanna Walden of Crestview, FL and Shawn Lindsay and wife, Brandi of Tampa, FL. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and one very special person in his life, his second cousin, Gerald Stonestreet of Oak Hill. David was a very private man and asked his children to hold no services after his passing. It was his final wish to be cremated and spread his ashes along side the gravesites of his parents at the Kincaid Cemetery where he could oversee the valley and be at peace.
