David Alan Gilbert

David Alan Gilbert , 70, of Oak Hill, WV died on Monday, November 07, 2011 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born June 01, 1941 at Prudence, WV he was the son of Margaret Johnson Crisp of Oak Hill and the late Julian Gilbert. David was retired from the magazine printing business. He was a member of the Printing Press Union Local #360 Cincinnati, OH and Oak Hill Moose Lodge No. 1664. He served in the US Army with the 86th Airborne. A brother, Richard L. Gilbert preceded him in death. In addition to his mother he is survived by a son, Michael Gilbert of Cold Spring, KY, daughters, Kathryn Profitt of Somerset, KY and Melissa Gilbert of Burlington, KY, a special friend, Sheila Dodson of Asheville, NC, brothers, Richard I. Gilbert of Powder Springs, GA, Randall Gilbert of Eaton, OH and Donnel Gilbert of Ft. Myers, FL. sister, Denise Wallace of Bonita Springs, FL, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Gilbert was cremated. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Harvey United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Kincaid officiating.
