David Lee Elder, 63, of Beckley, WV died on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born, August 18, 1952 in Oak Hill, WV, he was a son of the late Russell and Mabel O. Lively Elder.
A brother, Kenneth Elder of Oak Hill preceded him in death.
David loved to fish, camp and spend time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughters, Kelli Bennett of Beckley and Jennifer Asbury of Beckley; son, David Penson; and brothers, Donald Elder and wife, Karen, of Oak Hill, Gary Elder and wife, Vanessa of Harvey and Carlos Elder and wife, Carla of Oak Hill.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jessica, Kassi and Kayleigh all of Beckley and a host of nieces and nephews.
David's final wish was that upon his death his body be donated to the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg.
A memorial service and celebration of David's life will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Beckley Church of God on South Kanawha Street, Beckley.
