Dave Fisher

Dave Fisher, 73, of Glen Jean, WV died on Monday, September 20, 2004 at his home following a long illness. Born July 28, 1931 at Milburn, WV he was the son of the late Dave and Ollie Okey Shroyer Fisher. He was a retired coal mine electrician. Mr. Fisher was a longstanding member of the UMWA, District 17. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Allen Fisher; sister, Claris Toney; son-in-law, Dale Potts and a granddaughter, Darlene Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Gay Rhodes Fisher; sons: Dave W. Fisher and wife, Holly, of Oak Hill, Michael Fisher and wife, Vonda, of Scarbro and Jeffrey Fisher and companion, Lori, of Nashville, TN, daughters: Donna Bailey and husband, Earsel, of Nashville, TN, Cheryl Potts and companion, Mike Garcia, of Mayberry, NC, Linda Gibson and husband, Bobby, of Columbus, OH and Deanna Shepherd and husband, Will, of Glen Jean; sister: Betty Goodson of South Hills, VA, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and by a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Services will be on Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 12:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Jerry Bush officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill WV.
