Darrell Ray "Fats" Toney , 70, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born April 20, 1944 at Dothan, WV he was the son of the late Carrel L. "Jimbo" and Claris M. Fisher Toney.
He was a former employee of Union Carbide.
Darrell was a US Army veteran and was a member of the National Rifle Association..
Two brothers, Charles Toney and Roger Toney and his companion of 18 years, Norma Jarrel preceded him in death.
Survivors include two brothers, Adam Toney and wife, Jane of Oak Hill, and Wilbur "Ham Toney and wife, Sheila of Scarbro; four sisters, Jo Ellen Quesenberry and husband, James of Forest, VA, Judy Williams of Forest, VA, Kay Hewitt and husband, Roger of Oak Hill and Barbara Srednicki and husband, Paul of Oak Hill;and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Lum Toney officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
