Dalford Estel (Poochie) Smith

Dalford Estel (Poochie) Smith, 74, of Prudence, formerly of Thurmond, WV, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Hilltop Center after a long illness. 

Born June 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Estel and Dorothy Smith. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry (Frog) and an infant sister, Connie. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his two brothers, Harold Smith and his wife, Bonnie of Prudence and Gary Smith and his wife, Sharon of Maple Fork; and twenty-five nieces and nephews. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor Larry Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery, Hilltop. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. 

Nephews will serve as pallbearers. 

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hilltop Nursing and Rehab for the care that Dalford was shown while he was there.
