Coy Wilbur Holley , Jr. 61, of Scarbro, WV died on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born May 31, 1949 at Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Coy W. and Edith Lunsford Holley. He was a disabled continuous miner operator for Beckley Coal Company. Mr. Holley was a member of Oak Hill Lodge No. 120 A.F. and A.M., Charleston, West Virginia Valley of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Beni Kedem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. and the Fayette County Shrine Club as well as the U.M.W.A. A brother, Jimmy Holley and sister, Helen Tincher preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sue "Carol" Giles Holley; one son, William Michael "Mike" Holley of Oak Hill and six sisters, Audrey Armstrong of East Kingston, Faye Jones of Palm Bay, Fla., Frances Bloyard and husband, Melvin of Ravenswood, Nancy Hahn and husband, Dieter of Columbus, OH, Judy Stover and husband, Roger of Beckley and Betsy Colvin of Coal City. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth and Jessica Louise who loved their grandfather and will cherish his memory. Services will be on February 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Paul Basham officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill with masonic graveside rites. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of food or flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children - KY, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington KY 40502.
