Cornelius Carson Hicks, Jr.

Cornelius Carson Hicks, Jr., 77, of Mount Hope, WV died on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. He was the son of the late Cornelius Hicks, Sr. and Bessie Vass Hicks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Emily Mae Milam Hicks; daughter, Virginia Hicks and grandson, James C. Bell. Mr. Hicks was a retired coal miner. Survivors include two sons, Terry Wayne Hicks and wife, Dolly of Oak Hill and Glennis Carson Hicks of Mount Hope; daughter, Laura Bell and companion, Danny Green of Kilsyth; four grandchildren, Emilee, Jessica, John Wayne and Seth; and three great grandchildren, Jewelian, Kolton and Addison. Services will be at 2:00 P. M. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Gunnoe officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV.
